Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing and supply of construction systems, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Factory Manager to join their team in Taman Industri Rasa, Selangor. Key Responsibilities
Production Management
As a Factory Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and monitoring daily production activities to ensure that production targets are met. You will develop and implement production schedules to align with customer requirements and project timelines, coordinating with various departments to ensure a seamless production flow.
Quality Control
Ensuring high-quality standards is crucial. You will establish and enforce quality standards throughout the production process, monitor product quality, and ensure compliance with company requirements and industry standards. Implementing and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will also be part of your role.
Safety & Compliance
Your role will involve ensuring that all factory operations comply with safety regulations and company policies. Promoting a safe working environment and conducting regular safety inspections will be key responsibilities, along with investigating and addressing any safety issues that arise.
People Management
Leading, supervising, and motivating production and factory staff will be a significant part of your duties. You will manage workforce planning, staff performance, training, and development, fostering teamwork and maintaining a productive working environment.
Equipment & Maintenance
Overseeing machinery and equipment maintenance schedules is essential to minimize downtime. You will ensure that equipment operates efficiently and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Cost & Inventory Management
Monitoring production costs and identifying opportunities for cost reduction will be part of your role. You will manage raw material inventory and production resources effectively, ensuring proper stock control and minimizing material wastage.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred. However, candidates with over 10 years of relevant factory operations experience may be considered even without a degree. Proven experience in managing production teams and factory operations is essential, along with strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Continuous Improvement, or similar manufacturing practices is an added advantage.
Interview Process
The interview process consists of two stages: the first interview will be held in Kuala Lumpur, followed by a second interview at the factory site in Taman Industri Rasa, Selangor.
