Exciting Opportunity for an Operation Manager

Are you a seasoned professional in the food service industry looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a leading provider in the industrial catering sector, is seeking a dedicated Operation Manager to oversee the daily operations of a large canteen serving over 2200 staff in Kulim, Kedah.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the factory canteen, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Supervise daily activities to ensure compliance with company SOPs and client requirements.
• Oversee food quality, hygiene, cleanliness, and service standards.
• Lead and manage the kitchen team, supervisors, and frontline staff.
• Organize staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with Halal, HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.
• Manage inventory, procurement, cost control, and minimize food waste.
• Handle customer complaints, maintain client relationships, and enhance satisfaction.
• Develop and monitor operational budgets, sales, and profit performance.
• Conduct regular operational inspections and submit management reports.
• Continuously optimize operational processes to improve efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Management, Business Management, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in food service or industrial catering operations.
• Minimum 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in managing factory canteens or industrial catering is preferred.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations (Halal, HACCP, GMP).
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel to different canteen locations for inspections.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required.
