Role Overview
As a Senior Interior Designer / Design Manager, you will be responsible for guiding a team of 3-5 interior designers and junior designers. Your role will involve managing multiple commercial interior design and build projects from concept to completion. You will oversee design concepts, complete construction drawings, detailing, and bill of quantities (BQ). Additionally, you will conduct client proposals, design presentations, and discussions, ensuring seamless coordination among internal teams, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of interior designers and junior designers.
- Manage commercial interior design and build projects from concept to completion.
- Review and approve design concepts, construction drawings, detailing, and BQ.
- Conduct client proposals, design presentations, and discussions.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct site visits and provide on-site design support as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in interior design.
- Minimum 1 year of experience leading or managing a design team.
- Experience in commercial design and build projects is essential.
- Healthcare project experience is an advantage.
- Proficiency in industry-related interior design and visualization software.
- Strong understanding of construction methodology, materials, and detailing.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and client management skills.
- Open to candidates of all genders and ages, with a preference for Chinese-speaking candidates.
