Key Responsibilities
As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will perform a variety of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests, including:
- 2D Echocardiography
- Electrocardiograms (ECG)
- Treadmill stress tests
- Tilt table tests
- Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM)
- Holter monitoring
- Pacemaker checks
You will also assist cardiologists during procedures such as angiograms and cardiac catheterisations, ensuring the accuracy of diagnostic results and adherence to clinical standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should possess recognized qualifications such as a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Cardiovascular Technology from IJN University College or a Bachelor in Cardiovascular Technology (Hons) from Management & Science University (MSU). Candidates with a nursing or medical assistant background with cardiology exposure are also encouraged to apply. Experience in echocardiography is highly preferred, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment is essential.
