Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Therapy Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting occupational therapy services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting therapists in clinical duties to support patient rehabilitation programs.
- Conducting patient assessment support, including taking vitals, administering questionnaires, and monitoring progress.
- Setting up therapeutic equipment and facilitating treatment under therapist supervision.
- Supporting patient mobility, exercises, and rehabilitation activities, including transfer, gait, and prosthetic training.
- Applying orthotics and fabricating and adjusting splints as required.
- Leading group therapy sessions and assisting in running therapy programs, including pre-discharge training.
- Educating patients and caregivers on therapy-related topics and providing support where needed.
- Maintaining accurate documentation in electronic systems and reporting clinical updates to therapists.
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized WFOT-accredited program or a Postgraduate Master’s in Occupational Therapy with a relevant health sciences background.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an acute hospital setting with 500 beds or more.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Basic computer literacy is required.
- May be required to undergo an internal English assessment.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from SGD 2,500 to SGD 3,200, based on experience and interview performance. Additional benefits include:
- Housing allowance of SGD 500.
- 15 days of annual leave.
- AWS and performance bonus, subject to performance.
- Flight reimbursement, if applicable.
- A 2-year renewable contract, subject to approval.
Working Hours
The role follows standard office hours, with the requirement to work one half Saturday every four weeks.
