Our client, a leading employer in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated QA Executive to join their team in Prai Industrial Estate, Penang. Key Responsibilities
Quality & Food Safety Control
As a QA Executive, you will handle daily QA activities for food production, ensuring compliance with GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards. You will maintain, review, and update QA procedures, SOPs, and records to uphold the integrity of the production process.
Production Quality Monitoring
Your role will involve monitoring raw materials, in-process production, and finished products. Ensuring hygiene, cleanliness, and SOP compliance on the production floor is crucial. You will identify quality issues and collaborate closely with the Production team to resolve them.
Testing, Inspection & Documentation
Arranging product testing and reviewing test results will be part of your responsibilities. You will maintain QA records, reports, and traceability documents, ensuring proper calibration and correct use of testing equipment.
Audit & Regulatory Compliance
Preparing for and supporting internal, customer, and regulatory audits is essential. You will follow up and close audit findings promptly, ensuring compliance with food regulations and customer requirements.
Quality Issue Management & Improvement
Investigating defects, complaints, and non-conformances will be part of your role. You will perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions, tracking QA performance and recommending continuous improvements.
Training & Cross-Department Coordination
Conducting basic QA, GMP, and food safety training for staff is vital. You will work closely with Production, Warehouse, and Management teams to ensure seamless operations.
Reporting & Accountability
Reporting QA matters directly to the General Manager, you will act as the main person-in-charge for QA matters, highlighting quality risks and recommending actions to management.
Salary & Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary range of RM4,000 – RM6,000, along with performance bonuses, attendance allowance, yearly bonuses, and other incentives. Additional benefits include health insurance, maternity leave, and opportunities for training and promotion.
Preferred Candidate Profile
We are looking for a degree holder, preferably with a background in the food industry. Experience in food manufacturing QA/QC is an advantage.
