Key Responsibilities
As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of production machinery. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting preventive maintenance to minimize machine downtime and ensure efficient operations.
- Performing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensuring all machinery is well-lubricated and operating efficiently.
- Identifying, repairing, and reporting machine malfunctions promptly.
- Responding swiftly to machine breakdowns to reduce production disruptions.
- Maintaining optimal technical performance of production equipment, including filling accuracy, bottle cleanliness, and machine sanitation.
- Adhering to proper machine start-up and shutdown procedures.
- Managing spare parts inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels, and maintaining organized records.
- Ensuring a sufficient supply of consumables like lubricants and cleaning agents.
- Maintaining the factory building and facilities in good condition.
- Promoting a safe working environment by adhering to safety practices and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Performing other tasks as directed by management.
Incentive Criteria
Eligible candidates can earn up to RM900 in performance-based incentives by meeting targets in areas such as attendance, machine downtime, spare parts management, and other departmental KPIs.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- A strong understanding of production machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- The ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
